  • UNSTABLE JERKS? TRY THIS!

    Here is a simple cue that can help you get more stable in your split jerks. When you jerk, jerk with the intention of pausing in the split. Even better, add an actual pause in the split. When we think of pausing in the split, it creates more awareness around the movement and it usually results in more stable jerks. When performing this, start with lighter weights and add in longer pauses (5-8sec), and as it gets heavier, pause for 1-3 seconds.

    If you still feel unstable when doing this, it may be an issue of your actual footwork or flexibility. Look back to some of our older posts on what that should look like.

  • Wednesday!! Today was really fun and hard too!

    Olympic Snatches today! It was my first day fully working on only these today so things are still finding their way back to moving well. I started off with just working on the positions of the Snatch and then got into full Snatches! This is my last set at #95lbs
    Ran Sprints today! 7 45 sec sprints with 75 sec rest. I was feeling okay up until sprint 4 and then my asthma really started to catch up! I wanted to stop but my partner really helped me keep going through all 7. I’m just glad I finished!

  • I've allowed myself to be upset & cry.. But at the end of the day I had two choices when I found out the news. I could use this injury as a reason to quit OR I could use it to make myself stronger.

    Guess what? Quitting isn't in my vocabulary. 💪🏻🖤 #ProjectComeback #StrongerThanBefore #BeYouBeStrong

    I’ve been feeling stronger and more stable over head in a snatch grip and the results our showing 🙌🏼. 1000s of advanced twisty lunges and great advice from @jst_competeprogramming resulting in a new PB 🤩

    Looking forward to seeing @jakcornthwaite next week and improving that technique. 💯 in no time 😝
