  • Another Roast Dinner from last week, today I’m about to have my 4th in the space of two weeks 🙈 I’m not complaining!
    This one consisted of a Chicken Leg, Roast Parsnips, Roast Potatoes, Green Beans, Carrots and @morrisons Gluten Free Yorkshire Puddings again 🙈so yum! All topped with a homemade Gravy.
    This is nothing compared to Christmas Dinner though! Who else is looking forward to their Christmas Dinner?!!!

  • Before and after. Successful re-introduction of potatoes and other foods so far. Happy to report I ate out for the first time during my vacation here in Brazil 🇧🇷 and didn’t die 😂. I actually felt fantastic afterwards and was so happy the restaurant was able to accommodate my [slightly less] restricted diet.
    I am now, on my own volition, on a low FODMAP diet, vs SIBO-specific (which is a combination of low FODMAP and SCD) after having been on an incredibly restricted diet that was successful in terms of symptom management but failed to clear the infection along with the antimicrobials. Naturopath wants me to stay on the super restricted SIBO-specific diet and continue on antimicrobials (which have cost me an arm and a leg by the way) but I’m considering antibiotics now since I’ve been on natural germicides and diet modification for so long and have lost so much weight as a result. SIBO is such a frustrating condition but I’m trying to stay optimistic despite my positive retest after almost 5 months of treatment.

  • To eat fruit or not to eat fruit: apparently a highly controversial question. Most everyone says to steer clear of fruits on a diet to clear SIBO - except for the vegan and @medicalmedium crowd that are passionate in exactly the opposite direction, believing that your body needs abundant fruit to heal and clear excess bacteria. So is fruit feeding bacteria or clearing it? Lots of strong feelings from people on this topic, and not just for #SIBO but for healing most anything. After doing a mostly meat, veg, eggs and nut diet for a month, I got on the fruit train for 2 days (all raw fruits and vegs) and my belly blew up like a balloon. But I’m curious to hear other experiences healing this. What works, what doesn’t?   • I’ve been feeling under the weather after my flight home from London and after developing a severe allergic reaction 🤒 I whipped up this little concoction to nourish and heal my body - warm homemade organic chicken bone broth, lemon juice, turmeric, ginger, pepper and apple cider vinegar. Looks like orange juice but tastes oh so much better!! Even on a 37 degrees day 😅

    The best part of eating a whole food, plant-based diet is you can listen to your body, and indulge every now and again 🙏🏼 (not to mention the energy and focus you have everyday)
    80% of the time my meals look like these incredibly nourishing greens from @bentwoodfitzroy 🥑🤭
    The other 20% - I let myself eat out with friends, enjoy a few drinks and not feel guilty about it 🙌🏼

  • Today's dinner was all about proving that I can still eat what I want on a low FODMAP diet. Beef patties, fried herring, brie, salad, red pepper hotsauce and low-wheat beer. Even Princess Boo approves.

    RACUCHY JOGURTOWE
    Super puszyste, idealne na śniadanie, podwieczorek albo potreningową kolację. Polecam także dla dzieciaczków 😄
    Przepis na 3-4 porcje:
    2 kubeczki jogurtu naturalnego (u mnie Zott bez laktozy)
    2 jajka
    60g mąki owsianej (mielonych płatków owsianych)
    60g mąki ryżowej
    3 łyżki roztopionego masła
    0,5 łyżeczki sody oczyszczonej
    2 łyżeczki syropu klonowego (opcjonalnie)
    1 jabłko
    1 nieduży banan (albo dodatkowe pół jabłka)
    Oddzielić białka od żółtek. Do miski z żółtkami dodać jogurty, wymieszać. Wsypać mąki, sodę, wlać syrop i masło. Wymieszać. Owoce pokroić w niedużą kostkę i wmieszać do ciasta. Białka ubić i też dodać do masy delikatnie mieszając razem do połączenia. Nakładać po pełnej łyżce ciasta na suchą patelnię i smażyć na małym ogniu (u mnie poziom 3 na 9) pod przykryciem. Gdy ciasto od brzegów nie będzie już surowe, przewrócić delikatnie na drugą stronę i dalej smażyć już bez przykrycia. Ja robię od razu całą taką porcję i dzielę na 3 posiłki 😊

RACUCHY JOGURTOWE
