  • Anxiety decreases as structure increases. 👾 This is why most people with anxiety experience a tremendous amount of relief when they follow a routine. Anxiety will look different on people but if you boil it down... it's almost always due to the feeling of being out of control in some way.

    This past week I felt pretty overwhelmed. It's no secret that I love wellness coaching... I think I have posted enough about how fulfilling it is. I know I have the tools to guide people in making their mind a better, healthier place. I went to school for that and I'm thankful I did. BUT exercising and challenging your body is a huge part of keeping your mind healthy. 👌 I'd like to be able to provide people with CUSTOMIZED plans for their WHOLE body and mind!

    So, I've been studying (for a little over a week now) to get my personal training certificate! 🎉 ...it's about damn time! I have felt like I needed to do this for a while and I'm glad I'm finally doing it. BUT remember what I said about anxiety and the importance of routine?.... well my whole routine has had to change and I always feel anxious when that happens.

    The first thing I did was get out a pen and paper. I had outline what my new schedule was going to look like. I am staying on track with my walks and workouts in the morning and I'm studying/wellness coaching during the day and then I'm waitressing at night. 🙌 Done. Anxiety lessened. It IS that simple... sometimes.

    If you're feeling overwhelmed or anxious- one of the best things you can do for yourself is get into a routine. You will stick to it. You will feel relief. 🖤 Happy Sunday!

    Exactly, it wouldn't be your comfort zone if it wasn't.
    Humans are creatures of habit, we resist change and anything that breaks us away from our daily routine and structures.
    But change is imperative for growth. It’s important to push the boundaries of your comfort zone in order to learn and grow.
