  • I don't point this out often because most of my clients and audience have a goal of both 馃憴 But I'm a big believer in knowing better to do better so you should know the difference.

    And also, before you go about losing either (or both), you should know the WHY. I can't say it enough - too many people are embarking on fitness journeys just following other people's ideas and suggestions blindly. *Sidenote: Please don't do that. You should understand all the details and RESEARCH anything you decide to do (food or exercise). Just had to say that (gonna keep saying it too). It's your body - handle it with care and attention 馃挋

    As for the concepts and differences:
    猸 Weight loss: the only thing it takes for weight loss is a caloric deficit. Period. You just need to burn more than you eat. You need 3500 caloric deficit for every 1lb of weight loss (so 500 calories per day).
    猸 Fat loss: there are SO many factors. This is where all the debates about what kind of diet (keto, veganism, regular balance, etc), how much weight training vs cardio, what kind of cardio, what kind of strength training, eating times, etc come into play.馃挕

    My overall advice: both matter and both should be attended to. But if you are struggling with nutrition AND you want to lose weight, get a hold of your caloric deficit first! Because a lot of times getting down to the deficit automatically includes cutting out a lot of the food that causes body fat - and doing more workouts that burn it! Once you have your deficit down, start focusing on the details to maximize your fat loss. The end. 馃榿

  • It鈥檚 my hubs bday so I didn鈥檛 make a cake 馃巶 because we totally loved the grain free 馃崻馃崻馃崻馃崻馃崻s (ccc ) chocolate chip cookies 馃崻 we tried out last week !! 鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅
    It鈥檚 crazy how I sustain my results losing my muffin top completely these last four years still eating all food groups , no dieting and exercising 30 minutes plus now that I work my virtual fitness coaching from high me I still have my accountability groups start with a 20 or 30 minute daily ritual however I love adding in a glute or Core extra lol I鈥檓 totally stoked to start my pre 20 minute intense workouts tomorrow and ya know I鈥檓 adding in some glute moves lol and core !! 鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅
    Love the science that is backed behind my nutrition and fitness because it鈥檚 all about mindset and sustainable energy all day and results 馃 鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅

    My 馃挴 day program I did last year taught me and my A group how to add in treats which is what your body needs especially with these workouts , so I do it regularly 85/15 stay on track/ have fun 馃 and with my mindful approach to nutrition accountability crew we all weigh in daily and one pound down after all da cookies 馃崻 鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅
    Who woulda thunk it !! I鈥檇 be doing what I do to keep my mind sane , stay fit and healthy and from home and get paid for it and pay it forward to anyone and everyone who wants to do the work !! 鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅鉅
