“I always assumed that my belly jiggle was just a genetic predisposition. It’s definitely where I store extra fat quickly. So, the process started a long time ago and I have pretty much been willing try anything. (points systems, running, videos) I have been successful too, reducing the size of my belly and feeling pretty good about my accomplishment until someone snaps a picture of me and there that sucker is, maybe smaller, but definitely there! Then middle age hit and my belly began to fight me with chronic indigestion. I felt awful which made me a crabby person. But that wasn’t all. My head got involved and it was like the two of them were working against me on purpose. I either had a daily headache or tummy ache, or BOTH, for about two years. The neurologist said I had migraines and gave me medicine And the gastroenterologist scoped me from both ends and gave me medicine and told me not to drink coffee. I told him that was NOT going to happen, because I needed coffee to stop the headaches. Anyway, last year I tried The FASTer Way to Fat Loss® and at first it was hard. (Thank God coffee was still on the table) But my new habits got easier as the weeks went by and I was able to do more of the exercises (no other program really, truly pairs the food with the exercise quite like this) After one round on the FASTer Way to Fat Loss® my tummy was noticeably different and in a different, sporty shape. My new shape looked athletic and young! So I kept going and I can tell you honestly that I have not had this slim of a belly since elementary school. Also, I have not had to take any tums or prilosec since I started. I feel so much younger and happier and my friends call me “athletic”!”

  • I was asked to create a positive trigger image... one that I can look at when I’m faced with food temptations and will trigger a positive reaction that allows me to take responsibility for my decisions around food.
    .
I went with a pic of a vodka tonic.... JUST KIDDING! 😜 I chose a pic of sparkling water with lime (one of my favorite things in the whole wide world). Whenever I’m faced with a food temptation I can look at this image & be prompted to drink a sparkling water (or flat water if I must) 💦 before I make any potentially negative food decisions.
    .
It’s really a promise that I will allow myself time to think about why I might be tempted by food that isn’t good for me - before I act on the impulse. And I get to enjoy a glass of sparkling water... cheers!

Still have a cold so we are going to make #throwbackmonday a thing haha 🤪 here is a booty picture from one year ago! Haha
    .
I haven’t had a cold or a virus since 2012 so I’d say once in 6 years is a pretty good track record! Been taking lots of Vitamin C and D and getting rest. Good news is that I finally have my voice back for the most part!
    .
But, for those of you who aren’t sick and will be training today, I have something for you to try!
    .
📌 You’re gonna want to save this one for later!
    .
Glutes are one of my favorite muscles to train.
    .
I mean, who doesn’t want a killer booty these days? Glutes seem to be at the top of the list when it comes to my client’s target areas. .
So, if you are out to build that booty, then this workout is for you. It’s a sure fire way to get those glutes a-burnin’.
    .
    The Warm-Up/Activation (2 sets, 15 reps each):
    .
    1️⃣ Banded Lying Abductions
    2️⃣ Banded Seated Clamshells
    3️⃣ Banded Box Squats
    4️⃣ Banded Kickbacks
    .
    The Workout:
    .
1️⃣ High and Wide Leg Press - 3 sets, 10 reps // High and Wide Leg Press Pulses (bottom range) - 3 sets, 15 reps // DB Curtsey Lunges - 3 sets, 15 reps each leg
    .
2️⃣ DB Sumo Squats on a Box - 3 sets, 15 reps // High DB Box Step-Ups to Reverse Lunge - 3 sets, 10 reps each
    .
3️⃣ BB Hip Thrusts - 3 sets, 20 reps (hold 5 sec. on last rep) // Banded Lateral walks (get LOW) 3 sets, 20 steps each direction
    .
    4️⃣ Cable Kickbacks - 3 sets, 20 reps each // Cable Hip Abductions - 3 sets, 20 reps each
    .
Warning: A friend once told me that I am “building an army of Beyonce’s” with this workout.
    .
    Your welcome. 😏

  • 🥗 80/20 Weight Loss 🥗
    ⠀⠀
💥 Are you familiar with the 80/20 Rule? Or Flexible Dieting?
    ⠀⠀
✅ That’s what we’re talking about in this post! Let’s dive in.
    ⠀⠀
💯 The 80/20 Rule is a simple nutrition strategy that promotes a flexible diet, allowing you to eat fun foods that you enjoy 20% of the time, assuming 80% of your total calories are coming from healthy foods.
    ⠀⠀
📊 Keep in mind that these numbers (80% healthy foods and 20% fun foods) are rough estimates. You might be closer to 70/30 or even 90/10 depending on how dialed in you are, and how precise your goals.
    ⠀⠀
🙋🏻‍♂️ And the reason you’d adopt this approach, as opposed to a very rigid meal plan strategy, is because of this important consideration
    ⠀⠀
    📉 SUSTAINABILITY!
    ⠀⠀
🍦 Numerous studies and research has shown that a more moderate, flexible diet promotes better long term success than rigid, restrictive diets at scale. So, if you can be flexible you can make progress — and more importantly, sustain it for life.
    ⠀⠀
