  • There are some places on the body that are hard to target and/or forgotten. That's how I feel about hip openers when it comes to focusing on the "inside" of my hips. Stretching and adding mobility to your inner thighs can help keep your hips healthy overall and provides a counter-balance to our usual act of sitting in a chair throughout the day. Here's a few of my favorite ways to target, plus a little 🎄
    - Frog: Beginning on hands and knees, slowly slide your knees apart, resting your hands on the ground for support. Keep your hips aligned over your knees so you're focusing on the inner thighs (rather than coming into something like a child's pose).
    - Bound angle: Bring the soles of your feet together and clasp your hands around them. Bring the heels of your feet as close to your body as possible.
    - Side lunge: Starting in a wide-legged stance, slowly bend one leg until you come into a side-squat on one side. Focus on keeping the foot on your elongated leg firmly planted into the ground.
    - Standing straddle: Beginning in a wide-legged stance, slowly slide your feet out further as far as feels comfortable. Use blocks (or a chair, even) for support as you draw yourself deeper into the pose.
