  • The worst part about losing over #110lbs is probably all the excess skin. But, I’d rather have the extra skin than have the extra fat

  • Happy #transformationtuesday . Pictured on the left, we have 2013 Susannah at 250 lbs, attending the 5 year Viz class reunion. On the right, 2018 Susannah sittin nicely at 140 during the 10 year. .
    .
Here’s the thing though — while I certainly wasn’t eating terribly healthy, by and large I tried really hard to keep my calorie intake at a healthy low. I had been #misdiagnosed with #hypothyroidism , and told I was just going to be big unless I exercised and ate healthy at every meal - no cheat days! I had crippling menstrual pain, but every doctor I saw said that I was just being a wimp — “Life’s tough. Periods hurt,” they would say. .
    .
    .
All it took was one doctor to take me seriously. I had a full blood panel done and found out that I have an insulin processing disorder (like reverse diabetes) that had manifested as a side effect of a very severe case of PCOS. I dropped 30 lbs within the first two weeks of my new meds. .
    .
    .
I feel like myself again. Let this be a PSA - keep fighting, ladies. Don’t let doctors make you feel lesser than. They deal with countless dingos who have phantom complaints, they might not be looking hard enough. And, if you are looking for a good doctor in St. Louis, hit up Dr. Robins at RevitaLife Wellness. She listens.
